Convergent IRB can help you strengthen your research protocols and ethical compliances with an autonomous and internationally recognised IORG-compliant IRB. We have conducted reviews of 40+ projects from organizations like GiZ, Access Health International, IDFC Institute, BBC Media Action, etc. The Convergent IRB is registered with the Division of Assurance and Quality Improvement of theOffice for Human Research Protections (OHRP), USA (IRB Registration Number: IORG0010818). The IRB reviews the research protocols submitted and issues certificates. The IRB is a non-profit initiative sponsored by us.

Our principles of data confidentiality

1. Centralized controls

   All data access, storage, and processing are managed through a single, secure, and monitored system. This ensures consistency in security protocols and prevents unauthorized or fragmented handling of sensitive information.

2. Centrally authorized circulation protocols

   Any sharing or transfer of data requires explicit approval from a central authority. Clear, documented procedures govern how, when, and with whom data can be shared, ensuring traceability and accountability at every step.

3. Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) with the reviewers, panel members and administrative staff

   All individuals involved—including IRB reviewers, panel members, and administrative staff—are legally bound by comprehensive NDAs. This formalizes their commitment to confidentiality and provides a clear legal recourse in case of breach.

4. No Archiving of Client Data

   Client data is not stored beyond the period necessary for the review process. Once the review is complete and deliverables are submitted, all client-provided data is permanently deleted from our systems to eliminate retention risks.

5. Systematic Destruction of Print and Digital Materials

   Any physical printouts or temporary digital copies of data are securely and systematically destroyed. This includes shredding of documents and secure deletion of digital files to ensure no residual data remains accessible.
